AMD hosted the second edition of the extreme gaming event – AMD GameOn 2017, Powered by Radeon in Hyderabad on Monday. The day-long extravagant LAN-party was attended by over 200 tech enthusiasts and gamers.

Hyderabad: AMD hosted the second edition of the extreme gaming event – AMD GameOn 2017, Powered by Radeon in Hyderabad on Monday. The day-long extravagant LAN-party was attended by over 200 tech enthusiasts and gamers.

The event was organised by engineers of the Radeon Technologies Group (RTG) to bring gamers and tech enthusiasts under one roof in the city to celebrate the spirit of video gaming and AMD technologies that power PC Gaming.

Inaugurating the event, Andrej Zdravkovic, Corporate Vice President, Software Development & Management, AMD said, “We were overwhelmed by the turnout and participation by the gaming enthusiasts at the event.

As home to one of our two R&D centers in India, the city was the perfect place for us to showcase the unmatched power of AMD products being developed by our engineers for the gaming community. We will look at making AMD GameOn an annual event and take it to a larger fan base next year.”

During the event, AMD Radeon fans, gamers and challengers got to experience and get exclusive access to the best customised rigs with custom liquid cooling loops, VR, exotic dyes and unmatched power from AMD.

The exhibition space showcased products powered by AMD’s top of the line newly released CPU and GPU’s including Radeon RX Vega 64, Ryzen 1800X, Ryzen Threadripper 1950x.

The two featured games this year were CS Go and Dota 2. Entrants played as individual gamers and as clan of five. Cash prizes of up to INR 50,000 were given to winning teams and gamer.
Dota 2 Clan winners - 'Team Luck no Excuse' led by Jashen Rajeev, Cs go Clan winners - 'Team 911' led by Vallabh prathmeshnaidu and Individual game winners - Mandadi sai vikas, Yashraj Baheti, Aslam parvez.
