Hyderabad: A group of 18 High School boys and two teachers from Kashmir in conjunction with 162 Infantry Battalion (TA) completed a four-day visit, organised by the Indian Army to Hyderabad. The Capacity Building Tour (CBT) under ‘Operation Sadbhavana’ was coordinated by the Bison Division and was aimed at acquainting children from the valley with places of importance and tourist attractions in other parts of India.

The Class XI students, of a Government school in Jammu & Kashmir’s Budgam Distict, arrived in the city on Monday and visited Hussain Sagar Lake, Ramoji Film City, Charminar, Salar Jung Museum, Lumbini Park, Chowmahalla Palace and Birla temple during the trip.

They also met Major General B.D. Rai, General Officer Commanding, Bison Division, who interacted with the young minds and exhorted them to utilize the tour as a tool to develop self-confidence and improve determination for a brighter future and to make conscious career choices.

The tour, aimed at exposing the young impressionable minds to the world outside the Valley and to provide an insight to them with respect to the opportunities available to the youth in an environment of peace & tranquility, proved to be educative and interactive both. It also showcased ‘Unity in Diversity’ through the multi-lingual & multi-traditional cultures of the country.
