Hyderabad: Akshiti Mishra, a student of 9th grade from Telangana state bagged five medals (three gold and two silver) in CBSE Nationals Gymnastics competition.

She won a gold medal for her all-round performance with 36.95 points in the ongoing CBSE National Gymnastics Championship organised by CBSE Board in Prayaagraj, Uttar Pradesh at Khel Gaaon Public school.

The competition being held from November 7 to 10 involves the participation of CBSE students from all over India.

CBSE Gymnastics competition in junior category was held on the on the inaugural day of the championship. The medals were awarded for four disciplines, they are: Balancing Beam, Floor Exercise, Table Vault and Uneven Bars.

Akshiti Mishra from Oakridge International School won gold medal in balancing beam discipline while Meghanshi and Komal won silver and bronze respectively.

In Floor exercises Akshiti Mishra won gold with Komal and Snigdha winning silver and bronze respectively.

In table Vault discipline, Akshiti Mishra of Telangana finished second to bag the silver. Komal Rajat clinched gold and Snigdha settled for bronze medal.

In Uneven Bars too Akshiti Mishra had to content with silver after finishing behind Komal , who won thegold and Gauri fetched the bronze medal.
