Match 12 of the ongoing World Cup saw England come up with a clinical performance against Bangladesh. The hosts looked in red hot form in all departments as they brushed away the Asians in Cardiff on Saturday.

While the supremely professional display from the English players formed a pleasing sight, a rather bizarre incident amused the fans in the second innings of the game.

Jofra Archer, who was bowling the fourth over of the second innings, delivered a magical delivery to clean up Soumya Sarkar's bails on the second ball off the over.

Interestingly, the ball, which was delivered at about 143 kph, flew off the stumps to clear the fence behind the wicket-keeper!

Being put into bat first by Mashrafe Mortaza, England made merry on a beautiful batting surface. Openers Jason Roy and Jonny Bairstow took the attack to the Bangladeshi bowlers right from the word go and treated them with disdain.

While Bairstow was dismissed after reaching his half-century, Roy piled on the agony for the Tigers and went to smash a breathtaking 153 of 121 balls. The swashbuckling right-hander was helped by a blazing knock from Jos Buttler in the middle-order, as England put on a massive score of 386 runs on the board.

Coming out to chase, Bangladesh never seemed to be able to chase the target. Barring a commendable century from Shakib Al Hasan, none of their batters managed to register a sizeable score to challenge the English bowlers.

Jofra Archer, Mark Wood and Ben Stokes shone with the ball as Bangladesh were bundled for 280 within 50 overs to hand over a 106-run victory to England.
