Rukmini Bai Interschool sports event concludes on a high note
The finale of the 9th Rukmini Bai Interschool Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom and Volley Ball extravaganza turned out to be a memorable fiesta and has etched a remarkable place in the annals of The Secunderabad Public School.
Hyderabad: The finale of the 9th Rukmini Bai Interschool Table Tennis, Chess, Carrom and Volley Ball extravaganza turned out to be a memorable fiesta and has etched a remarkable place in the annals of The Secunderabad Public School.
The three-day sporting action witnessed mixed feelings – pride and joy for the winners and determination and grit to do better next time for the ones not too fortunate. A new age of fresh faces has dawned while some retained their titles.
Around 102 schools and more than 800 participants registered for all the four games in this tournament.
Continuing with the tradition of releasing two newsletters every day, the newsletter called 'Luminiscence' saw a fresh bunch of reporters and editors putting their best foot forward to live up to the standards set by their seniors.
The chief guest for the occasion was Madhusudhan Rao, Secretary and Correspondent of the Secunderabad Public School while Lalith Mohan Chandana, former table tennis player, P. Jyothi, president of Peoples Educational Society, P. Pooja, Director, Kavitha, administrator and M.M. Augustine Academic Director were the guests of honour.
Prize money to the tune of Rs 1 lakh was given away to the winners and runners-up along with a trophy, merit certificates and medals.
