All India tennis tourney begins at Hyderabad Public School

Hyderabad: The All India IPSC U-12 and U-14 Boys Tennis Tournament was inaugurated by Ashok Kumar, Honorary Secretary, Telangana State Tennis Association, at Hyderabad Public School (HPS) in Begumpet here on Monday.

The four-day tournament will conclude on May 30.

The opening day witnessed six pre-quarter matches. MNSS, RAI, Haryana beat HPS (R); YPS Patiala down Mayo College, Ajmer; Modern School, BK Road, N Delhi beat Emerald Heights International School, Indore; Assam Valley School defeated HPS (B) while Rajkumar College, Raipur beat Welham Boys, Dehradun.

As many as 90 students from some of the best schools in the country are taking part in the tournament and of which 58 students are vying for the U-14 title while the remaining 32 are in fray for the U-12 event, a press release said.
