The new plan is priced at standard Rs 1,999 and it is offering 33GB data for daily use.

After the launch of Jio's JioFiber with aggressive prices benefits, state-owned BSNL is having a tough time. To deal with this, BSNL has come up with a new broadband plan for its Bharat Fiber service. And it's beneficial for data data-hungry consumers.

BSNL's Bharat Fiber service will offer the fastest broadband service with the latest plan. The new plan is priced at standard Rs 1,999 and it is offering 33GB data for daily use. That's a lot of data when compared to rivals offering plans at similar prices. Under this plan, subscribers will get access speed of up to 100Mbps, which is decent but speeds could have been advanced. The data benefit is more than enough to justify the price.

As part of this plan, subscribers are also offered with unlimited calls. BSNL is providing a landline connection with its Bharat Fiber service and with the Rs 1,999 plan. Customers can use it to make free calls to any network. An additional benefit with the Bharat Fiber plan is that if the subscriber consumes the 33GB data limit, the speeds will reduce to 4Mbps, which is faster than the earlier speeds of 1Mbps. This also makes the plan unlimited but at very low network speeds.

The data benefit is high enough for casual users, there's no other third-party benefit that the private sector players offer. BSNL isn't presenting any subscription to OTT apps or any third-party app benefits.
