The Nobel Prize for 2019 in Chemistry field has been jointly announced for three scientists. John B. Gudenuff, Stanley Whittingham and Akira Yoshino were jointly selected by the Nobel Committee on Wednesday for developing lithium-ion battery.

The Nobel Prize for 2019 in Chemistry field has been jointly announced for three scientists. John B. Gudenuff, Stanley Whittingham and Akira Yoshino were jointly selected by the Nobel Committee on Wednesday for developing lithium-ion battery. All three scientists are currently experimenting at various universities.

Goodenough, Whittingham and Yoshini developed a lithium-ion battery on a smartphone. Prize money is is distributed equally to all three. Earlier, Nobel Prize was anniunced in the field of physics, chemistry, literature, medicine and peace.

These will be presented at Stockholm, Sweden's capital, on 10 December, the Nobel anniversary. The Nobel Prize is awarded to scientists who have contributed to human society by striving for revolutionary change through special efforts and research in various fields
