Reliance Jio has launched Jio Saarthi, an in-app digital assistant which aims to ease digital recharges and boost online recharges. This is in specific for users who haven't done an online recharge so far. Reliance Jio has integrated the assistant, which it calls an in-app genie, within the MyJio app to facilitate digital recharges for Jio subscribers. It is expected that the Jio Saarthi integration will be available to use by the end of the day.

What is Jio Saarthi?

Jio Saarthi will provide step-by-step voice directions for picking up a recharge option through the MyJio app. It is designed to help users locate payment details and use their credit or debit cards for digital recharges.

Initially, Jio Saarthi will be available only in English and Hindi. Reliance Jio is working on to make it available in 12 regional languages. This in-app digital assistant will gradually help all its subscribers in India to ease the recharge process.

Reliance Jio is projecting Jio Saarthi as a first-of-its-kind digital initiative. Specifically for the Jio users who haven't yet done an online recharge though the feature can be accessed through the MyJio app.

How to use Jio Saarthi

Most probably Jio Saarthi will be available in the MyJio app by the end of the day today. To start with the new addition, users need to have the latest MyJio app on their smartphones. Once the users tap the Recharge button, the app will bring the assistant in the form of a floating icon. The users will have to tap that icon to start receiving voice-based directions for digital recharge.

Jio Saarthi is designed to speak throughout the recharge process. The app will help the users choose a suitable recharge plan and also make the payment for the selected plan. It also gives directions to locate payment details and find related information such as the credit or debit card number and its expiry date, which are needed to complete the recharge transaction.
