Hyderabad: The government has decided to operate special buses for the biggest tribal festival Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Jatara. The Jatara will begin on February 5, 2020, in the remote forest area located in Medaram of Mulugu district.

TSRTC ED Vinod Kumar said that nearly 4000 buses are deployed from 51 bus depots across Telangana for this festival. In this context, RTC buses queue lines works have been started on Friday (December 6) at Medaram. On this occasion, the officials have visited Sammakka Saralamma temple. It's expected that nearly 22 lakh devotees will attend for the Jatara.

ED said that the bus services would be operated on regularly to Medaram starting from January 1st. He also noted that AC buses would be operated from Hyderabad and an online reservation facility is available for the services.
