Karimnagar: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Sunday stated with 24 hours power supply to farm sector all problems of farmers are solved in the State.

The Minister was speaking at the inauguration of KV 33/11 sub-station set up at the cost of Rs 2 crore here at Kotla Narasimhulupalli village of Gangadhar mandal in Karimnagar district.

Rajender said that before the formation of the state, the farmers and people, in general, used to suffer a lot due to the erratic power supply. Many fertile fields had turned barren due to lack of proper power supply.

But after the formation of Telangana State, the TRS government under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao by understanding the problem took immediate steps and is supplying uninterrupted power supply for 24 hours not only to farm sector but also to industries and households, he added.

For this very reason, the Telangana State has become a model for other states in the country. After the completion of Kaleshwaram project water will also available for 24 hours and will flow in all the canals across the State along with giving much-needed boost to the farming sector, he informed.

TS Transco CMD Prabhakar Rao said that earlier there used to be only 14,000 MVA electricity in the State, but after the formation of Telangana in just four years, the State produces 29,000 MVA electricity by investing Rs 23,000 crore and is supplying 24 hours uninterrupted quality power to all sections of people.

Zilla Parishad chairperson Kanumalla Vijaya, Choppadandi MLA Sunkari Ravi Shankar, NSDCL CMD Gopal Rao, sub-inspector Madhava Rao, sub-station land donor Ramesh Kumar, ZPTCs, MPTCs and Sarpanches were present.
