6 policemen suspended in Hyderabad for taking bribe
As many as six policemen were suspended by the City police commissioner Anjani Kumar on Wednesday for accepting a bribe from owners of hookah parlours The suspended include four sub-inspectors and two assistant sub-inspectors.
As many as six policemen were suspended by the City police commissioner Anjani Kumar on Wednesday for accepting a bribe from owners of hookah parlours The suspended include four sub-inspectors and two assistant sub-inspectors.
They are SI S Kurumurthy of Shahinayatgunj police station, SI D Srinu of Mahankali police station, SI E Shankar of West Zone, SI Ramakrishna from a special branch, ASIs Mohammed Jaffar and Samuel from Jubilee Hills police station.
All the suspended policemen were posted at Jubilee Hills police station. The suspension comes after a series of allegations against the policemen. An internal inquiry was made by the senior officials who found they were collecting bribes from hookah parlour owners to allow the shops to run beyond the timings.
