Seven oxen belonging three farmers were killed due to lightning strike on Saturday here at Mahabubabad district.
The lightning strike hit near the forest area of Nelavancha of Gudur Mandal due to which the oxen grazing at the place were dead on the spot. Around Rs 3 lakh loss has been estimated to the farmers.
On July 18, 2019, a farmer and his two oxen were killed after being struck by lightning while ploughing at Burgampahad Mandal of Kothagudem district. Their death was instantaneous.
