94th birthday of Satya Sai Baba celebrated in Nalgonda
The 94th divine birthday celebrations of Sri Satya Sai Baba were organised with various activities in Nalgonda town on Saturday.
Nalgonda: The 94th divine birthday celebrations of Sri Satya Sai Baba were organised with various activities in Nalgonda town on Saturday. The programmes started at Sri Satya Sai Spiritual and Service Centre, located at Raghavendra Colony in the town early in the morning with Omkaram, Suprabhatham and Nagarsankirtana.
Later poor, destitute and beggars sleeping on footpaths, bus and railway stations were given bed-sheets to protect them from chilly weather. They were also given laddu and sweet prasadam. Palquin seva of Sri Satya Sai Baba( Pallaki seva) was conducted amid chanting of devotional songs and bhajans by Seva Dal and devotees in the streets of Raghavendra and VT Colonies.
In the afternoon, Mahanarayana Seva( free food) was conducted in Old Bazaar at KSR kirana shop. People enjoyed the tasty food served on the occasion. The programme was organised by convener Sri Satya Sai Seva Samithi Kasturi Ktishna Babu, office bearers Sandeep Reddy, Vishveshwar, Tukaramu, Mallikharjun, Muraliah, Narasimha, Srinivas, Suvarna, Indira, K Vijaya, Jyothi, Punnamma, Chandrika and devotees took part in the celebrations.
