Abolish detention policy, demands student union in Nizamabad

Nizamabad: PDSU district president Jannarapu Rajeshwar, secretary Karthik, Srikanth, SFI district president Boda Anil, AISF district secretary B Raghuram and Suman demanded the abolition of detention policy. Telangana Universities Left Students Organisation representatives submitted a memorandum to University Examination Branch CEO Sampath Kumar here on Friday.
They alleged that the detention system will alienate students of middle class and poor from education permanently.They were told to write supplementary examinations.
They suspected the evaluation of the answer sheets of examination papers as many students are failing the degree. They requested that the authorities should give the students a chance to check their answer sheets to know how many marks they have scored.
