Act against illegal recruitment in Telangana University: SFI
Alleging that the recruitment of teaching staff for Telangana University in 2014 is illegal and all the selected candidates were disqualified, SFI district committee demanded the government for immediate cancellation of their appointments.
Kamareddy: Alleging that the recruitment of teaching staff for Telangana University in 2014 is illegal and all the selected candidates were disqualified, SFI district committee demanded the government for immediate cancellation of their appointments. At a meeting of Kamareddy district SFI committee here on Monday, district president Ajay Kumar demanded that the illegal appointments should be reviewed. The illegal recruitment of teaching staff should be included in the agenda at the Telangana University Governing Council meeting to be held on November 20, he stated.
Ajay alleged that the then Vice-Chancellor of the University had appointed disqualified candidates in 2014 as assistant professor, associate professor and professor. He demanded the higher authorities to dismiss all this disqualified staff immediately and provide the university with a quality human resource. "Even though the V-C election code is still in force, teaching staff was recruited overnight. Some of them went to High Court on improper appointments and the then State government appointed a committee. It said that jobs were offered to those, who did not qualify and did not follow the Reservation Roster Points policy," he said.
SFI leader Ajay said retired judge Justice Ramu was appointed by the then Governor ESL Narasimhan on unanimous commission. It is ridiculous that the committee's report was not disclosed, he added.
SFI district leaders, students, Santosh, Umesh, Akash and Suryakantha participated in the meeting.
