Hyderabad: With the election phase is over, the TRS is abuzz with the talk of Cabinet expansion by this month end. Party leaders have started testing waters and are approaching party working president K T Rama Rao in this regard to promote their names.

The state Cabinet expansion is due as Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be taking six more leaders into his ministry.

The TRS leaders say that there is a possibility of Cabinet expansion by the end of June as there are no auspicious days after June 30. Sentimentally, no good work is taken up during the month of Ashadam.

Of the six people whom the Chief Minister may induct, two would be women. KCR has announced in the Assembly that this time he would take two women into his Cabinet.

It is still not clear whether the former minister T Harish Rao and K T Rama Rao would be inducted into the Cabinet or not.

In case they are taken into the Cabinet then only two vacancies would be there for others and the race would become more intensified. There were rumours that the Chief Minister may reshuffle his Cabinet axing some of the ministers for their poor performance during the Lok Sabha elections.

However, since the party had done extremely well in the just concluded ZP elections, KCR may not go in for any major changes in the existing team.

Meanwhile, the TRS leaders and the aspirants are lining up to meet KTR along with ZP chairpersons from their districts. Apart from the TRS leaders, the 12 Congress MLAs, whose migration to the TRS had led to the merger of CLP with the TRSLP, are also looking forward for being part of the cabinet.

The possibility of Sandra Venkata Veeraiah and Sabitha Indra Reddy being taken into the Cabinet is not ruled out.
