Babu Jagjivan Ram's contributions recalled

Vikarabad: District Collector Masrat Khanam Aisha on Friday appealed to the people to work to realise the ideals of great leaders like Babu Jagjivan Ram and said that was the only way the nation could pay rich tributes to them. She was participating in the birth anniversary celebrations of Jagjivan Ram at the BJR junction here on Friday.
The District Collector said that the contribution of the great leaders should not be forgotten and asked the people to fulfill his ideals. Superintendent of Police Narayana said that Babuji served as Deputy Prime Minister in 1979 in the Janata party government and brought many reforms in governance.
District SC Development Officer Vijaya Lakshmi, SC Corporation ED Babu, District Agriculture Officer Gopal, Tribal Welfare Officer Kotaji, youth welfare officer Hanmanth Rao, Municipal Chairman Satyanarayana, DSP Shirisha and others were present on the occasion.
