Nagarkurnool: The RTC employees who were receiving full support from various employees unions, students associations, civil society groups and others were surprised on Tuesday when a 70-year-old beggar donated Rs 1,000 towards the RTC strike and sat in protest with the employees.

According to sources, Kotla Jangaiah (70) of Seetaramapuram village of Balmoor mandal is making a living by begging. On Tuesday, Jangaiah visited the employees camp and donated Rs 1000 towards strike.

Jangaiah surprised everyone on the spot when he suddenly entered the RTC camp and raised slogans in support of employees. He said that he has been observing the RTC employees strike for the past 18 days and added that because of the strike, lakhs of people were suffering in the State. In return for his gesture, the agitating employees felicitated the old man with garlands.
