Bhongir: Commissioner (Health and Family Welfare) Vakati Karuna ordered the officials concerned to provide full-fledged medical facilities to Covid-19 patients undergoing treatment at isolation wards.
Addressing the officials and associated staff of medical and health department at a meeting at a private hotel in Bhongir on Wednesday, she directed them to provide sufficient facilities to Covid patients at Area Hospital, AIIMS and community health centers of Aler, Ramannapet and Choutuppal in the district.
They were also told to identify primary contacts of corona positive patients within five to six days and provide proper treatment to them.
V Karuna advised Asha, ANM and medical officers to monitor Covid patients from time to time and told medical officers to visit Covid patients regularly without fail. Medical officer has to certify high risk cases, she stated.
District Collector Anita Ramachandran instructed medical officers to respond to the calls from Covid call center setup at the Collectorate. She assured to provide transport facility to Covid patients.
Additional Collector D Srinivas Reddy, Assistant Collector Garima Agarwal and District Medical Officer Sambasiva Rao and others participated in the meeting.
