By-elections to fill three vacant seat of Telangana State Legislative Council will be held on May 31.
Hyderabad: By-elections to fill three vacant seat of Telangana State Legislative Council will be held on May 31.
The seats fell vacant due to the resignation of Patnam Narender Reddy, Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy and Konda Muralidhar Rao from Ranga Reddy, Nalgonda and Warangal Local Authorities' constituencies respectively in December 2018.
As per the schedule released by the Election Commission of India on Tuesday, the last date for nominations will be May 14. While the nominations will be scrutinised on 15th May, the last date for withdrawal of candidature will be 17th May. The polling for all three seats will be held on May 31 from 8 am to 4 pm. The counting of votes will take place on June 3.
The Model Code of Conduct concerning these elections has come into force with immediate effect in the concerned Constituencies.
