The State government has sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for setting up a canteen and Rs 20 lakh for restrooms on the market premises whose works are set to begin in a fortnight.

Nakrekal (Nalgonda): Joint Collector Chandra Shekar assured to provide all amenities at the State's first lemon market located at Nakrekal in the district.

On Thursday, along with officials concerned, the Joint Collector inspected the lemon market and informed officials that the State government had sanctioned Rs 30 lakh for setting up a canteen and Rs 20 lakh for restrooms on the market premises.

He directed Assistant Director of Marketing Aleemuddin and officials of other allied departments to start the works of canteen and restrooms with in two weeks.

He instructed the officials to level the land around the market and provide drinking water to farmers by completing Reverse Osmosis plant works at the earliest.

He enquired with the officials about the rental system of shopping complex of the market. Later, he planted a sapling on the premises of lemon market as part of ongoing Haritha Haram programme in the State.

Market secretary Venkanna, Tahsildar Yadagiri and others were present during the Joint Collector's visit.
