Nirmal: Celebrate Ganesh Navratri festival with devotion, said District Collector M Prashanthi at a meeting with the organisers of various Ganesh pandals, officials and Utsava committee members at the Collector Conference Hall in Nirmal on Thursday. Superintendent of Police C Shashidhar Raju also present at the meeting.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector informed that all arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of Ganesh festival. Ganesh pandal organisers were told to maintain healthy atmosphere at their respective Ganesh pandals. On the day of Ganesh immersion, everyone should maintain time management. She instructed the officials concerned to fill potholes with gravel, tighten electric wires along the way of Ganesh immersion procession. With co-operation of municipal, R&B and irrigation departments, the festival should be celebrated without any untoward incident.
Responding to the requests of Ganesh pandal organisers, the Collector ordered the officials to fulfil their needs.
Municipal in-charge Commissioner Venkateshwarlu, RDO Prasunamba, DSP Uppender Reddy, EE Rand B Srinivas Rao, Tahsildar Anupama Rao, Ganesh Utsava committee members Gandrath Ramesh, P Rajendar, Narendar, leaders Gandrath Eshwar, A Rajendar, Chilka Ramana and others were present.
