Hyderabad: Urging the Central government to curb incidents of mob lynching unleashed in the name of cow vigilantism, the city based All India Majlis-e-Inquilab-e-Milat (AIMIM) has urged the Centre to promulgate a law that inculpates the onlookers and accomplices equally for the act.

While protesting against the recurring incidents of 'mob lynching' in different States of the country, the members of AIMIM demanded to establish fast track courts to deal with the perpetrators and to prosecute them.

"Spate of mob lynching of Muslims and Dalits in different parts of the country is causing a devastation for the very democratic framework of the nation. All the culprits are getting scot free by the courts reflects a sordid story of failure of prosecution.

Encourage with the fallacious system, the perpetrators are committing more crimes with impunity and bringing a scar on the country's democratic framework," Syed Taraq Quadri, President AIMIM, said after presenting a representation to Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi shortly after the protest.

"Due to the failure on part of prosecuting agencies in filing a foolproof charge sheet, the accused are getting scot free by the courts. All these developments are a blot to the nation's reputation besides violation of human rights," he added.

"The prevailing situation grips the country into fear to an extent that the Muslims and the Dalits are now feeling un-safe in their own motherland. It is high time that the centre took corrective steps towards establishing fast track courts to deal with incidents of mob lynching and inculpating the onlookers and the accomplices as well at the same time," said, Syed Hamed Hussain Shuttary, Vice President AIMIM.
