Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR) has directed the State government to instruct the private educational institutions not to collect any fees during COVID-19.

Hyderabad: Telangana State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (TSCPCR) has directed the State government to instruct the private educational institutions not to collect any fees during COVID-19.

The Commission took notice of reports in newspapers about private schools running online classes and demanding fees from the parents in the name of online coaching during summer.

The Commission recalled that the government issued orders directing schools not to enhance any fee during the next academic year.

The commission took serious note of this and the commission under section 13 (J) of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act 2005 (4 of 2006 Central Act) directed the commissioner of school education to conduct an inquiry and submit a report with in seven days.
