Mancherial: Communist Party of India (CPI) State General Secretary Gunda Mallesh said that they are ready to contest in Naspur, Kyathanpalli and Bellampalli municipal elections in the district.

Speaking at a party meeting at the party office in Mancherial on Wednesday, Mallesh said that everything is set for the upcoming municipal elections in Kyathanpalli, Naspur and Bellampalli and their party candidates will contest in all municipal wards. Soon the names of candidates for the chairman post will be announced, he said and added that they will compete with their opponents strongly in Mancherial, Chennur and Luxettipet.

The CPI leader criticised that the ruling TRS had started vote bank politics in the name of household tap connections and destroyed roads and forgot to repair them. He alleged that the Ministers and ruling party leaders had planted saplings on the road dividers in Mancherial municipality and later removed the saplings. They gave the contract to another contractor and planted the same saplings again, he pointed out. Mallesh criticised that the TRS is running the government with police support and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao is behaving like a dictator. He urged the people to teach KCR a lesson in the upcoming municipal elections.

Pointed out that the CM never gave double bedroom houses to the beneficiaries, never regularised the contract employees, CPI leader Mallesh urged the people to co-operate to their party State convention, which will be held in Mancherial district.

Party leaders Kalavena Shankar, M Venkat Swamy, E Lingaiah, Jogula Mallaiah, Ch Sattaiah, Sudarshan, Mekala Dasu, Ramadugu Laxman, Rajesham, Chandrashekar, Mallesh, Rajesh, Manikyam, Venkanna, Sammaiah and others were present.
