Karimnagar: BJP Karimnagar Graduate MLC candidate Polsani Sugunakar Rao said the BJP had appealed the Returning officer, State Election Officer and the High Court to declare holiday on Friday (March 22) to all government and private educational institutions, employees and to advocates in view of the MLC elections to be held on March 22.

It should be pointed out here that the State Election Officer had declared holiday on March 22 to the government officials.

Special permission for late coming or a few hours permission to cast their vote was granted to private employees.

Speaking at a press meet at his residence here on Thursday, Polsani said the Congress is losing its identity in the State.

The party has become empty in State Assembly and Legislative Council as many of its leaders are shifting loyalty to the ruling TRS.

Congress will not have any representatives by April 11 in both Assembly and in council, he added.

The BJP candidate said Congress leaders are betraying the public, who voted for them, without bothering their issues.

They are toiling for their own development and political survival and shifting loyalties to the ruling TRS against democracy, he criticised.

Sugunakar Rao stated Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's ruling is surprising all. Questioning why KCR came to power, he wondered that may be KCR himself don't know answer to this question.

Rao criticised KCR that he didn't introduced even a single scheme till date after he came to power and failed to solve even one issue of the people.

Neglecting public welfare, KCR is running after leaders of Opposition parties and encouraging defections, he alleged.

The BJP is going to become an alternate force to the TRS.

BJP is in rule in 16 States and at the Centre.

In near future, the BJP will become one of the major parties and definitely will come to power,

Rao added.

People are observing every move of the TRS and KCR and are ready to teach a fitting lesson in the coming days, he warned.

BJP leaders K Odelu, L Shankar, T Hari Kumar Goud, B Raghunathan Rao, B Mallesham Yadav, K Shravan, Jitendar Reddy and Rajesh were present along with others in the press meet.
