Mahbubnagar: Taking a dig at TRS, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee spokesperson Harshavardhan Reddy took said that the TRS government completely failed on all fronts during past one year after assuming the government for the second term in 2018.

He alleged that the TRS party has completely failed on all fronts and could not even fulfil any one promise given to the students, unemployed youth, farmers and the public at large.

"Except in the year 2017, when the TRS government held TET exams for only two times and as many as 4 lakh people appeared in that exam. However after that the government has miserably failed to conduct the TET exams," Harshavardhan said addressing the media in Mahbubnagar on Saturday

"During the past 5 and half years more than 2 lakh BEd and TTC qualified candidates have passed out eagerly waiting for appearing in the TET exams, but government has completely failed to meet their aspirations," alleged Harshavardhan Reddy.

He observed that in fact the educational professionals have to appear for TET exams twice in a year and going by this, as many as 11 TET exams must have been held during the past 5 years, but TRS government is least bothered about the educational professionals.

He said that there are 36,000 teachers post vacant in Telangana and more than 6.20 lakh B Ed and TTC professionals are awaiting for teaching posts. "We are demanding the government to immediately conduct the TET exams and release DSC for filling up all the vacant teaching posts in the State. Many aspirants who have earlier passed TET have almost completed 7 years after which their score will be expired and is not valid.

Only those candidates who have passed in TET are eligible to appear for DSC. So are demanding the government to conduct TET exams and fulfil the aspirations of the Educational professionals who are eagerly waiting for taking up teaching as their careers," Observed the TPCC official spokesperson.

He also demanded the government to immediately fill up the 7,000 vacant junior college lecturers, 3793 Degree college lecturers and more than 3,000 vacancies of assistant professors and other posts in universities across the State.
