Mahbubnagar: The Mahbubnagar police have started conducting meetings with the Yuvajana Sangham leaders at village, mandal and district-level and advised them to take various precautions for the upcoming Ganesh Chathurthi festival in the district.

As per the directions of Superintendent of Police Rema Rajeshwari, all the police officials from across various police stations have sent their teams to villages and organised meetings with all the major youth associations and Ganesh festival organising committees to ensure that the festival is held in a peaceful manner.

"We have been holding a series of meetings with all the Yuvajana Sangham leaders and Ganapathi festival organising committees stressing the need to abide by the laws and conduct the festival in a peaceful manner," informed the police department sources.
