Warangal: The onus is on the police to clarify all the doubts surrounding the case of a teenage girl of Hanamkonda who was molested and killed recently, the CPI (M) State Secretary Tammineni Veerabhadram said.

Tammineni who consoled the parents of the victim here on Monday alleged that there was an effort to conceal the details of the accused involved in the heinous act. "Even though the police had identified three persons involved in the crime, they had arrested just one of them," he said.

The clothes worn by the victim when she went out on her birthday were not the same when she was found dead. Two or more persons may have been involved in the crime, Tammineni said. He demanded that the police investigate the case honestly.

If the police fail to ensure justice to the victim, the CPM along with likeminded parties would launch agitations, he said. He also demanded that the government form a fast track court to provide speedy justice to the victim's family members.

CPM District Incharge Secretary G Prabhakar Reddy, senior leaders Godugu Venkat, U Nageshwar Rao, Manda Sampath, M Sagar, Janga Reddy, Shobhan Naik, M Kumaraswamy, Ragula Ramesh and K Lingaiah were among others present.
