Mahbubnagar: The dairy farmers of Midjil mandal in Mahbubnagar district blocked Kalwakurthy-Mahbubnagar road on Saturday, demanding the State government for the implementation of hike in milk prices.

Earlier Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had promised the dairy farmers to increase the milk price by Rs 4 per litre.

The farmers alleged that the hike was not implemented till date and hence staged a road block by keeping the milk cans on the road.

They demanded the Chief Minister to fulfil his promise made to them.
