Khammam: A tenant tribal farmer allegedly committed suicide by consuming pesticide at his house in Chintaltanda village in Kusumanchi mandal on Saturday due to debts.

According to sources, Banothu Biksham (55) was cultivating cotton, chilli and paddy in 5 acres land on lease in Jeellacheruvu village. But due to different reasons he incurred huge losses and dept reached to 6 lakh. Pressure built up from the money lenders. On Saturday he approached his two sons Laxman and Srinu who are living in Chintalatanda village and asked their help what they refused.

Unable to face money lenders, he consumed pesticide at his son's house and went unconscious. His wife noticed it and shouted for help. Both sons tried to shift him to the hospital in Khammam but he die on the way. On wife's complaint Kusumanchi Police registered a case and investigating.
