Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman on Friday alleged that the education sector in the Telangana State was in disarray due to misrule of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government
Hyderabad: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) State unit president K Laxman on Friday alleged that the education sector in the Telangana State was in disarray due to misrule of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) government.
He alleged that the State government has diluted the education sector by not filling vacancies of teachers and lecturers. He also alleged that the historic Osmania University also has shortage of faculty to guide research scholars and students.
Speaking to media persons here, Laxman alleged that the infant State was in the last position in the Education sector.
Stating that 1,000 villages in the State do not have bus facility, the BJP leader said the recent incidents like Hajipur were occurring in the remote villages due to lack of buses.
He ridiculed that while the State was reeling under many problems, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao was going around the temples in the country.
He also criticised Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav for not consoling family members of two Intermediate students, who committed suicide in his constituency.
Stating that the State government failed to issue DSC notification since 2014, Laxman said school education in Telangana was backward than Bihar State.
He also alleged that while the State government gave top priority to corporate education system in the State, it was showing step-motherly treatment towards education sector.
While there are only 800 junior lecturers in the State, he said over 5,000 teachers' posts remain vacant in the State.
The BJP leader also asked as to why the State government was hesitating to take immediate action against the Globarena organisation.
While the students sacrificed their precious lives for separate Telangana State, K Chandrashekar Rao's family was enjoying lavishly, he added.
