Hyderabad: The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has found itself at the receiving end following a piece of fake news going viral about that the board is announcing the first and second Intermediate results on Saturday.

According to the TSBIE sources, the Board is bombarded with people making inquiries about the timing of results making it tough for the officials to clarify that it is not releasing the results on April 13.

Speaking to The Hans India, a senior official from the Board said, "for the second time in a week's time the board is facing the problem of answering hundreds of inquiries coming to it about the dates of results.

Earlier, a piece of fake news said that the Board would be announcing results on April 8, quoting a retired official. This time, the fake news is picked up by some Delhi-based national news portals giving credence to the news, making the students and parents calling the Board and injuring about the results."

It may be mentioned here that earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) had to issue repeated clarifications on the issue of leaked question papers of Class XII while the examinations were on for the academic year 2019-20.

Further, the CBSE had also lodged police complaints with the cybercrime cell of the Delhi police.

When asked the TSBIE official said that the process of results is in final stages.
