Friends install Saraswathi idol in memory of their dead buddy in Mahbubnagar
The members of Rock Star Youth Club in Dokur village of Devarkadra mandal of Mahbubnagar district installed an idol of Goddess Saraswathi at Dokur Zilla Parishad High School in memory of their beloved friend marking the occasion of Teachers’ Day on Thursday.
Devarkadra (Mahbubnagar): The members of Rock Star Youth Club in Dokur village of Devarkadra mandal of Mahbubnagar district installed an idol of Goddess Saraswathi at Dokur Zilla Parishad High School in memory of their beloved friend marking the occasion of Teachers' Day on Thursday.
According to sources, a team of eight friends from Dokur village formed a youth association, Rock Star Youth Club a few months ago. Pandu, one of the friends, who was key to form the youth association had always been positive minded and shared his ideas of doing something good for their village and the society at large. However, Pandu, who was from an economically poor family, who studied at the Dokur ZPHS up to SSC, had gone to Hyderabad for working as a labourer and died in an accident after falling from a three-storeyed building recently.
In his remembrance, the Rock Star Youth Club members installed an idol of Goddess Saraswathi at the ZPHS school on Thursday. Venkat, Pandu's sister Pavani, teachers from Dokur ZPHS school along with other villagers participated in the programme.
