The DRI sleuths on Thursday seized 1121 kg of ganja from a DCM van during a vehicle check at Pathangi toll plaza on Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway. The value of ganja is estimated to be of Rs 1.68 crore.
The ganja is reported to have been transporting to Maharashtra from Sileru agency area. The police also took three people into custody.
On Tuesday, the task force sleuths seized 236 kg of ganja worth Rs 10 lakh from two persons identified as JS Mayakrishna (23) and Bala Murali (28) in Vijayawada.
