Hanamkonda (Warangal-U): It's high time for the TRS government to resolve the TSRTC employees' strike, CPI State executive member Thakkallapally Srinivas Rao said. Addressing a meeting presided over by the senior CPI leader Bussa Ravinder here on Saturday, he criticised the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for not heeding to the justifiable demands of the RTC employees.

Since the strike had begun 36 days ago, the RTC workers were in a state of disarray as the State government didn't show inclination to solve the issue. The employees are finding it difficult to run their families, he added. So far, three employees committed suicide and several others breathed their lost unable to handle financial pressure. On the other hand, KCR is least bothered about the plight of employees, he said.

Stating that KCR is firm on privatising the RTC, Srinivas Rao found fault with the TRS government for arresting the Opposition leaders or placing them under house arrest to prevent them from attending in the Million March at Tank Bund in Hyderabad on Saturday.

"The government's highhandedness is condemnable," he said, accusing the rulers of being insensitive towards the RTC workers' problems. Former MLA Potharaju Sammaiah, CPI district secretary Mekala Ravi, senior leaders K Bikshapathi, P Prasad, Sheikh Bashumiya, G Ramesh, M Yellesh, Srividya, G Badri, K Chiranjeevi, Naresh Dravid and Sudarshan were present.
