Groom SPCs to become best citizens: SP Vishnu S Warrier

Adilabad: Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier on Thursday asked teachers to provide training to the Students Police Cadets in the ways of NCC to make them become best Indian citizens of tomorrow, role-model to fellow students.

He was addressing a training programme for the teachers of 45 schools in the district, of which 2,600 SPCs were selected.

The SP said that SPC was inaugurated on July 21, 2018, by the Union Home Ministry to provided training to students to become good citizens of India. In this project, the Home Ministry and the Education departments are working together and the Prohibition and Excise department provides co-operation.

To teach discipline from student stage, the Police department will provide training in in-door and out-door training to SPCs to become good citizens of tomorrow. Selected students will get free uniforms, books, bags and shoes from the government. The teachers will get incentives, he informed.

In this project students will get knowledge of humanitarian values. In the joint Adilabad district, from Adilabad 16, Nirmal 17, Mancherial 8, Kumram Bheem Asifabad 4 schools were selected for SPC training.

Additional Superintendent of Police TS Ravikumar, DSPs LC Naik, Syd Sujauddin, administration officer Ataullah Khan and inspectors and teachers and others were present.
