The Southwest Monsoon continued to be weak over Telangana for the second day during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday.
Medak: The Southwest Monsoon continued to be weak over Telangana for the second day during the last 24 hours ending at 8.30 am on Thursday. Rain occurred at isolated places across the State. There was one cm rain in Tekmal of Medak district, according to the Met department bulletin. It warned of heavy rain very likely to occur at isolated places in Telangana for three days from June 29.
The forecast said light to moderate rain or thundershowers are very likely to occur at a few places over Telangana. Light to moderate rains or thunder showers very likely to occur at many places in the State from June 28 to July 1.
The rain is being caused by the upper air cyclonic circulation over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the Andhra Pradesh coast which lies over the north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha coasts. A low-pressure area is very likely to form over the north Bay and its neighbourhood around June 30 which is likely to become more marked subsequently.
