Huzurnagar bypoll: Officials seize 53 lakh in cash so far

Huzurnagar: The official teams of various departments have been seizing liquor and cash in huge quantity during the inspections at checking points and also in raids with regard to Huzurnagar bypoll, which is slated to be held on October 21.
As per official sources, so far teams have seized Rs 53.65 lakh net cash besides liquor worth Rs 27,490. Of the 118 licensed guns, 65 guns were deposited under Kodad police division and rest 53 were deposited under Suryapet police division.
Apart from this, 27 cases were filed and as many as 54 persons with criminal background were bind over before the respective Tahsildars as a precautionary measure to avoid any untoward incidents during the Huzuranagar by-election.
