The dictatorial TRS regime reminds of Emergency, says State BJP chief

Hyderabad: Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar called upon the party leaders and cadre to emulate the spirit of those who fought against the Emergency and work hard to end the dectatorial governance of the TRS in Telangana.

Interacting with the party leaders and cadre as part of the party's programme to observe a black day to mark the completion of 45 years of the declaration of Emergency by former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, he said that the situation in the State is not different from the days of Emergency.

He said under the leadership of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao it has become the order of the day to foist false cases against the people's organisations, house arrests, sending opposition party leaders to jails, threatening media- all remined the dark days of the Emergency.

The declaration of Emergency on June 25, 1975 reminds a dark epoch in the annals of the country's history. However, the united fight mounted by the people of the country remains an inspiration for all, Bandi said.

The Karimnagar MP said that the State of Telangana was created due to the sacrifices made by many people. However, it has become a prisoner of the TRS. He called upon the leaders and party cadre to fight to achieve democratic Telangana.

Party National general secretary P Muralidhar Rao, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, former ministers, senior party leaders were among those participated in the programme.
