Allwyn Colony: Regular steps are being taken to check the ever-rising menace of mosquitoes, said local corporator Dodla Venkatesh Goud on Thursday, after spraying Diplabejurin in Yellamma Chervu for killing mosquito larva and eggs.
Later, he went around the water body. Goud instructed the Entomology staff to remove plastic from the cheruvu. He said during the last several days hyacinth had been totally removed from it. "Now steps are being taken to rid the water body of plastic, too," he said, while appealing to the residents not to dump garbage and plastic in it. The corporator also appealed to people to strive for and achieve Swachh Hyderabad. Among those present during the anti-mosquito operation were Area Committee member Shoukath Ali, Munna, TRS party leaders Shivaraj Goud, Samad, Khaja, Babu Sagar and entomology supervisor Narsimha.
