Hyderabad: Drones deployed at Hakeempet Kunta
Entomology officials spray anti-mosquito larvae chemicals through drones
Tolichowki : Following complaints from residents of Hakeempet and nearby localities in Tolichowki, particularly those who are staying close to water body known as Hakeempet Kunta, the officials of GHMC Entomology department started a special drive by using effective chemical spraying by drones. Nanalnagar corporator Mohammed Naseeruddin oversaw the entire operation.
On Thursday, the corporator informed that as part of mosquito control measures, they took help of the drone at Hakeempet Kunta under Nanalnagar division under Karwan Constituency and started special drive on February 26. "On the instructions of MP Hyderabad Asaduddin Owaisi and MLA Karwan Kausar Mohiuddin we inspected the ongoing spraying of insecticide to contain the mosquito breeding grounds known for causing dengue fevers in the area. The drone flew over Hakeempet kunta (water body on foothills of Jubilee Hills)," he added. The corporator was accompanied by officials from entomology department and AIMIM primary unit president Shaik Zakir, Azam, Hamed and others.
