Hyderabad: Kin of Journalist Manoj Kumar who died of coronavirus files complaint
A complaint was filed by the brother of journalist Manoj Kumar who succumbed to coronavirus last week.
A complaint was filed by the brother of journalist Manoj Kumar who succumbed to coronavirus last week. Sainath, brother of Manoj Kumar approached the Chilakalaguda police claiming that the medical negligence of on-duty doctors claimed his brother's life.
Sainath who was also admitted to Gandhi Hospital with coronavirus infection said that the doctors barely attended him. Even after, he developed severe pain and breathing complications, he was neither given oxygen nor shifted to ICU, Sainath alleged. He further alleged that the doctors refused to shift Manoj to ICU claiming that they don't have enough beds and oxygen cylinders even after being directed by a senior doctor.
The complainant went on to say that his brother would not have died if the doctors have given timely help.
Manoj was admitted to Gandhi Hospital on June 4 and died on June 7 while undergoing treatment. He alleged that all the doctors who were responsible for his brother's death must be booked.
