A 22-year-old woman was allegedly raped by her maternal uncle who arrived in Hyderabad from the US. According to the police, the accused, Ravi and the woman were having an affair for the last six years.
The duo is in contact over the phone and social media. However, as things turned out different, Ravi began suspecting and harassing her for the last three months. Ravi flew down to Hyderabad recently and raped her multiple times.
He used to visit her room in Begumpet after her friends left for work and raped her. On Friday, he again raped her threatening to harm her family and filmed the act. He also threatened to upload pictures on social media if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
Fed up with the harassment, the woman lodged a complaint with the police and took him into custody. The police said that Ravi had gone to the US to pursue his education and is working as an Uber cab driver in California since 2016.
