Hyderabad: Market expansion is top priority for me says Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin
Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin who first won in 2016 emerged successful for the second time in the GHMC elections from Borabanda division
Deputy Mayor Baba Fasiuddin who first won in 2016 emerged successful for the second time in the GHMC elections from Borabanda division. A graduate and student leader, he played a key role in the Telangana movement. Hailing from Medak district, he has a vision to make Borabanda the best division with all the amenities needed for the people.
"I have all the blessings of the TRS party and residents of Borabanda to work effectively to change the slum into a colony. Borabanda need not to be a slum anymore. It has all facilities, including an A/C bus-stop, roads, Basti Dawakhanas, schools and colleges," he affirms in an exclusive interview to The Hans India.
On his action plan for Boraband development during the second term, he explained that the division has had great facelift in the last four years. That is the reason people have given him another term as their corporator. "Coming to my action plan, I have already implemented my agenda 60 per cent, viz., providing all basic amenities like proper roads, water supply, sewerage system. Further development is required, as Boarabanda is a slum area which needs constant attention. I will do my best to satisfy my people in a better way," he reassures.
The Deputy Mayor is ready to take up all that he could not during the last term. Market expansion is his priority area. He alleges that the Opposition parties always hindered development, as some of them also approached courts and got stay on the expansion of the market. "But this time, whatever it costs, market development will definitely happen. Also, I have lined up a few development works, I will finish all of them," he says.
Amongst other issues he would be focusing on are road-widening, development of a sports complex and a multi-purpose community hall. "Our focus is to solve the damaged road and overflowing sewage issues, which are half solved already," he asserted.
Exuding confidence of getting maximum support from the pink party, he said the State government has supported him. I hope for the same support. "In this election I won with a majority of 75 per cent against the Opposition. This clearly shows that people of Borabanda are happy with the performance of TRS," he noted.
Fasiuddin promises to come up with new developmental projects in the next three months. Borabanda will get one sports complex and a park in Sai Baba Nagar. "We are planning to construct a multipurpose community hall in the quarry land of nine acres. I hope that fund crunch issue will not be there under the ruling TRS governance," he added.
Amongst the achievements of the past term, he recalls Borabanda Pankha development which was pending for decades. "Road widening and internal roads were laid along with sewer lines and controlling storm water flow through drains in low-lying areas.
We are planning to construct a children's parks on sites 4 and 5. For the well-being of women and their safety, we are installing CCTV cameras across the division. Security for women will always be tightened in my divison," Fasiuddin signs off on a confident note.
