Hyderabad: Overspeeding car hits two women; driver in custody
Two women suffered severe injuries after a speeding car hit them at NTR Nagar under LB Nagar police station limits on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: Two women suffered severe injuries after a speeding car hit them at NTR Nagar under LB Nagar police station limits on Wednesday. The women were identified as Venkatamma and Sathamma, who are sisters.
According to police, the women residents of Jinkalabavi area in LB Nagar were crossing the road when the mishap occurred. The car went on to crash into the road divider after hitting them. The driver was steering the car at high speed and lost control over it. The driver was also injured in the accident.
On receipt of the information police rushed to spot and shifting the injured to a nearby private hospital and also shifted the damaged car to clear the traffic. The injured driver was taken into custody and sent to hospital for treatment. The LB Nagar police booked a case of negligence and took up investigation.
