The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths on Friday caught the junior assistant of Telangana State Wakf Board employee when the latter was taking bribe.
Azhar is working at Telangana State Wakf Board as a junior assistant in permission and registration section zone-1. He demanded bribe from one Syed Mohiuddin of Old Malakpet when the latter approached the officer to provide details of the works being carried out in a mosque under the RTI act.
The junior assistant demanded Rs 4,000 from Syed to provide the details. Syed who did not want to give the money approached the ACB officials who laid a trap and caught Azhar red-handed.
The ACB officials arrested him and said that the will be produced before the court.
