Hyderabad's Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge completes by February end
The construction of the cable bridge at Durgam Cheruvu will be completed by February end.
The construction of the cable bridge at Durgam Cheruvu will be completed by February end. A total of 53 CC (Cement-Concrete) segments have been fixed with the support of the 26 stay-cables.
Railing works on the two sides, construction of road, lighting works were taken up for now which will get completed by the end of this month. With the launch of the bridge, commuting from Jubilee Hills to Madhapur will become faster.
The cable bridge construction has been taken up by L&T Construction at a cost of Rs 184 crore. According to the officials, the bridge has created a record by getting completed in 22 months.
Another flyover at Jubilee Hills which leads to the Durgam Cheruvu cable bridge is on cards. Though the plan is delayed due to acquisition, the government has fastened up the works recently after all the hurdles were cleared.
