The Municipal authorities are planning to establish an integrated market in the district to benefit both the farmers and consumers

Adilabad: The Municipal authorities are planning to establish an integrated market in the district to benefit both the farmers and consumers. Their idea is to make all kinds of essential commodities including vegetable, fish, chicken and mutton markets as well as supermarkets available to consumers with all facilities, at one place in the integrated market in Adilabad town.

This will also benefit wholesalers and retailers under one roof. Special sheds will be constructed for vegetable, chicken, mutton and fish markets, with all facilities. 1.30 acres land has been identified at Satnala quarters for constructing integrated market with an estimation cost of Rs 11 crore.

With land and funds ready in hand, the officials are gearing up to call for tenders for the construction of the market. Another reason for setting up an integrated market is to provide vegetables, chicken etc to the consumers in a clean environment, sine these items are now being sold roadside, which are unhygienic with dust.
